  • Paying for the Course

    Once you have agreed on a course, we will send an invoice for your deposit and balance payment.

    Entry requirements

    R18+ is the minimum requirement for our course. You will need to be on your feet all day and be required to actively participate in practical aspects of piercing.

    Work placements

    We highly recommend you find a placement before starting the course. Putting into practice everything you've learned immediately is the best way to keep information fresh.

    Although we hire staff, vacancies with us are few and far between. The average piercer at Keen stays for 5 years before moving on. 1/3 of our workforce have been with us for 7+ years.

    Pharmacy Specific Course

    Lets rule out a few issues before we dive in to the course content.

    1. You can not learn to pierce online.
    2. Piercing guns jam and they're unhygienic. That doesn't mean their is not great alternatives. We used what you still use for 20 years before technology improved. I'd like to show you why we moved to a new cartridge piercing system that we're proud of.
    3. Placement and angles are a big deal. I'd love to show you techniques for dealing especially with the under 10's that will change how you feel about piercing.
    4. Aftercare. We do over 2,500 piercings every week. We've become specialists in tricks of the trade in caring for those knock and bumps and there is where pharmacies have an edge on cross selling.

    You will have access to our supply chain for bulk purchasing and in most cases, you will get your orders in days not weeks.

    Jewellery

    There are standard piercing suppliers and then there are manufactures on steroids! If you want high quality jewellery at unbelievable prices buy 10,000...or buy from us and be assured we've tried and tested it all. oh and there is a greater chance we're still far cheaper and delivery is from inside New Zealand. We can Just about guarantee that.

    Dress Standard

    Appropriate dress standards

    We require you to dress according to the standard of our staff when in our environment.

    - Comfortable closed shoes.
    - No low cut tops.
    - No short dresses/shorts.
    - No baggy long sleeves.
    - Long hair tied back.
    - No ripped jeans.

    Our staff have chosen to only wear black as a type of uniform.
