The ‘Dahlia’ piercing is done at the corners of the mouth. It’s more common to see this piercing done in pairs, though it doesn’t have to be. There are some variations on height and a choice of having it pierced with a labret bar or a B.C.R (ball closure ring). Initially there is larger jewelry inserted to allow for swelling. The larger jewelry can be downsized after a minimum of 2 weeks. Healing for a Labret piercing takes anywhere from 1½ to 4 months.
